BIG D Explained: The Daily Performance Formula Behind Beast's Creatine Range

BIG D is creatine plus five clinical-grade ingredients in one daily scoop. Here's what each one does and whether you need it over plain creatine.

BIG D Explained: The Daily Performance Formula Behind Beast's Creatine Range BIG D Explained: The Daily Performance Formula Behind Beast's Creatine Range

BIG D gets mentioned constantly across Beast's other supplements as the "next step up" from plain creatine. It's never had its own explanation. Here's exactly what's in it, why it exists, and who it's actually for.

What Is BIG D?

BIG D is Beast's daily saturation formula: the same 5g of creatine monohydrate covered in full in What Is Creatine?, plus five additional clinical-grade ingredients in one scoop. It's built on the same daily-use principle as plain creatine, taken every day regardless of training, but covers more ground in a single serving.

The Six Ingredients, One by One

  • Creatine Monohydrate (5000mg). The same clinically effective daily dose as Beast's standalone creatine. Builds and maintains muscle phosphocreatine stores for strength, power and short-burst performance.
  • Beta-Alanine (3200mg). Raises muscle carnosine levels over time, extending time to fatigue in high-intensity efforts. This is also what causes the tingling sensation some people notice, harmless and temporary, more on that below.
  • Betaine Anhydrous (2000mg). Supports power output and has been studied for its role in strength and body composition outcomes alongside resistance training.
  • Peak ATP® (400mg). A patented, clinically studied form of adenosine 5'-triphosphate, delivering ATP directly rather than a precursor. Peak ATP® is a registered trademark of Technical Sourcing International, Inc.
  • Wellmune® (250mg). A patented baker's yeast beta glucan, one of the most clinically studied immune-support ingredients available, relevant given how hard training blocks can stress the immune system. Wellmune® is a registered trademark of Kerry Group.
  • AstraGin® (50mg). An absorption enhancer, included to help the body actually take up the other five ingredients more effectively.

BIG D vs Plain Creatine: Which One Do You Need?

If you only want creatine and nothing else, plain Beast Creatine covers that on its own, no need to pay for extras you won't use. BIG D makes sense if you'd rather cover creatine, endurance support (beta-alanine), power output (betaine) and daily immune resilience (Wellmune®) in a single daily scoop rather than stacking separate products. Either way, if you're using BIG D you don't need standalone creatine on top, BIG D already provides the full 5g daily dose.

Dosage and Timing

One scoop (13g) daily, mixed with 500-750ml of water. Consistency matters more than timing since creatine, beta-alanine and betaine all work through saturation over time, not an acute hit. That said, taking it pre-workout on training days lets you get some acute benefit from the Peak ATP® and beta-alanine as well.

Common Myths

  • "BIG D is a pre-workout." It isn't. It's a daily saturation formula, built to be taken every day, training day or not, the same logic as plain creatine.
  • "The tingling means something's wrong." It's beta-alanine paraesthesia, a well-documented, harmless sensation that fades with consistent use as carnosine levels saturate.
  • "You need BIG D and standalone creatine together for a bigger dose." BIG D already contains the full 5g daily creatine dose. Stacking both just means more creatine than research supports needing, count your total daily intake either way.
